While the 7th and 8th graders were having "peanuts and Cracker Jacks" at the ballpark, the kindergartners were enjoying Kona Ice and Elephant snacks back at school. They made the elephant snacks (rice cake spread with peanut butter or jelly, apple ears, blueberry eyes and red licorice trunk) to celebrate that they'd learned the short "e" sound.
