Good evening! It was an action packed first day, for sure.  It will take a little while for our 3rd graders to figure out transitions, but I am confident we will get there soon.

Tomorrow we should be on a regular schedule, so K-8 will report to the Church between 7:35 and 7:55. I will still be at the top of the hill for drop off and to help the preschoolers in to the building.

I actually thought pickup went well. Great job everyone who was parked on the hill and in the alley. There was a bit of confusion as we dismissed, mostly because we are still trying to hammer out our bell system, but we spoke after school and will try to clear things up a little.

Preschool will be dismissed at 2:40. The preschool bus riders will be walked down the hill and the preschool walkers will stand in the grass at the front door with a staff member until a parent or grandparent comes to get them. Once you have them, unless you are waiting on another child, please go back to your car to clear the area.

Kindergarten will be dismissed at 2:45. One of the teachers will walk the bus riders down to the bus, and one will stay with the car riders in the grass until a parent comes to meet them.  Once you have them, unless you are waiting on another child, please go back to your car to clear the area.

Grades 1-8 Bus riders will be dismissed at 2:51. Car riders will be dismissed at 2:53.  Although most of the older students know where to meet you, if you have a younger child, please make sure they can see you. The first and second grade walkers will wait in the grass until their parent comes to meet them.

After everyone is in their cars, we will dismiss just like we did today, and that part went VERY smoothly. It's a process, and we haven't perfected it yet, but we are working on it, trying not to make things too complicated, but also making pickup as safe, and quick as possible.

I'm sure everyone is exhausted! I know I am. Have a great night, and we will see you tomorrow!
