Every year on November 1, the Church celebrates All Saints Day, which was established by Pope Boniface in 609 AD, and officially became a Holy Day of Obligation in 835 AD. On this day, we celebrate all of the Saints in heaven, especially those who lived heroically virtuous lives. We celebrate them because through God's grace, their lives glorify God. We pray for intercession of the Saints, asking them to pray for us along with our own prayers to God. Another great reason for us to study the lives of the Saints is that they are a great example for us. Learning how Saints dealt with different challenges in their lives, their devotion and obedience to God are great examples for us all! We had fun and learned a lot on All Saints Day!
