Happy Advent Season to all of our families! In advent, we prepare for the coming of Jesus in our own lives and the celebration of Christmas. It will be a busy few weeks that go by very quickly. We are excited to spend this season together making lasting, meaningful, learning memories with our students! Please be sure to continue to check messages from the school and your child's teacher, to help things run as smoothly as possible.
There has been a little movement this week on Edchoice awards, however there are still about 20 scholarships that have not been awarded. Please continue to be patient. If you qualify, I am confident yours will come through.
Please be sure to set the evening of December 14 aside for our annual Christmas Concert. We have avoided the Bengals game this year! Mr. Pedigo, Mrs. K, Mrs. Groh and our students have been working very hard preparing for their performance.
Looking ahead, our last day of school before Christmas break is Tuesday, December 19. We will begin the day with mass, and we have something special planned for the rest of the morning for our students. We will dismiss early that day at 12:30, and there will be no Ripley afternoon bus. We will return from Christmas break on Wednesday, January 3.
Happening this week...
- Tuesday, December 5- All are invited to come to 7:00 pm mass at St. Michael. Although not an obligation, daily mass is a great opportunity to gain grace and blessings. Following mass, St. Nicholas will make an appearance, with goody bags for the kids.
- Wednesday, December 6- The 2nd grade class will travel to Maysville Community College to watch their classmate (Saylah Hamilton) in Centre Dance Academy's production of "The Nutcracker".
- Friday, December 8- We will celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (The Patron St. of the United States). This is a Holy Day of Obligation. To learn more click here.
