This week the kindergartners celebrated finishing their in-depth study of the letter "j." After listening to Bread and Jam for Frances by Russell Hoban, the class worked together to make a list of different kinds of jam. Then they wrote in their Writer's Notebooks about a kind of jam they like on bread and illustrated their entry. Finally, they spread grape jam on a slice of bread and enjoyed eating it!
