St. Michael School

There will be a cool phenomenon occurring this spring on April 8, when a solar eclipse comes in to view. I am sure you have heard that many schools are closing for this event. It is our belief that this is a great learning opportunity for our students, and we will remain in school that day. We have purchased eclipse viewing sunglasses, and students will be briefed about the eclipse before the day, by our staff, and we are currently planning a follow up with the Cincinnati Observatory later in April. Thanks to Susan Poole for reaching out to the Observatory to make that connection. Weather permitting, of course, we will have the opportunity to check it. out. We last did this in 2017 and it was a big hit, and great learning opportunity.
