St. Michael School

Last week, after much collaboration, each group designed a leprechaun trap and drew a blueprint for it in their Writer's Notebooks. Then they made a list of the supplies they needed to build the trap and decided who would be responsible for bringing in each item. On Friday, the kindergartners built their traps, put in the bait, and left that afternoon, hoping they'd catch a leprechaun over the weekend. Unfortunately, the leprechauns were too quick and clever, and not a single one was caught. However, the wee people left chocolate coins and gold coins for each of the students to praise them for their efforts!
