Recently St. Michael's School discovered that we have been awarded a scholarship through the Chess Kids International Grant program. This award covers the cost of a premium membership to Chess Kids online for ALL of our chess club students! The total value of this award is about $2,500. It allows our chess club students to access online matches, practice skills, and tutorials all at no cost to them or the school. The grant and access have been awarded to SMS for 4 months beginning November 1st. Signup sheets for our annual chess club program will be going out sometime in October so keep an eye out for those. The club is open to all SMS students from 3rd through 8th grade. This will be our 4th year for the program.
