Good afternoon SMS Families! I hope everyone had a great Fall Break, and are refreshed and ready to tackle October. I have heard from a few parents regarding Fair project results. If you could, please email (andy.arn@stmichaelripley.com) me pictures and results from the fair by Wednesday. I plan to release a wrap up of all the accomplishments of our students later in the week. From the little I have heard so far, it sounds like our students had an extremely successful fair.

This week we welcome back Mrs. Ernst, who has been out on maternity leave. Thank you Mrs. Burrows who stepped up to help make the beginning of the year run smoothly!

There is a lot going on this week, so I will get right to it!

Tomorrow is Spirit Day! In celebration of the Feast Day of our Parish Patron Saint, St. Michael the Archangel, Mrs. Mulvaney is bringing prayer cards and ice cream for our students. Students may wear SMS spirit wear with jeans or uniform shorts/pants. Speaking of uniform, we will continue to allow shorts until it looks like the weather is going to stay cool. Just a reminder that students should not wear flip flops, sandals, or shoes that light up. Also, please make sure students are not dying their hair any unnatural colors. For further questions, please refer to the SMS Family Handbook.

This coming Friday is First Friday. Following mass, students will have the opportunity to spend time with Jesus in adoration. Also, we will hold our annual pet blessing in honor of St. Francis of Assisi beginning at 2:00.

Looking ahead to the following week

  • Children of Mary visit

  • Picture Retakes

  • P-2 Field Trip to "R Farms"

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences

Welcome back!
