Because Johnny Appleseed Day was over Fair Break, the kindergartners celebrated on Tuesday. The fun included playing the "1-2-3 Apple Game," participating in an "Apple Taste Test" in which they tasted three different colors of apples, constructing an apple bar graph using the data gathered from both a real graph and a picture graph, and chopping up apples to make homemade applesauce. They had the applesauce for snack yesterday!
A huge THANK YOU to Ardis's mom, Brylin's mom, Cruz's mom and Stella's mom for helping run the Apple Stations for Johnny Appleseed Day! And a special THANKS to Mrs. Rockey for letting us borrow her Pampered Chef apple peeler/corer/slicer, and to Mrs. Sentney for bringing it to school for us!
