Our 5-8 science classes, led by Mrs. Hamilton, have been working on a project, in which the goal was to create a vehicle that was able to move on its own, using only recycled materials.

Students were able to use things like bottles, bottle caps, straws, rubber bands, boxes, balloons and more to create their vehicles.

There was a lot of outside-the-box thinking and many lessons learned through success and failure of experiments.

This was a great hands-on lesson, which could lead to a better understanding of the scientific process, the importance of research, and genuine curiosity which will encourage our students to experiment, and try to learn by doing!
