In the last week of January, every year we celebrate Catholic Schools across the nation, and we are proud and feel blessed to have our amazing school here at St. Michael. Here is what we have planned for next week!

Sunday, January 26- Celebrating Our Parish

  • SMS families are encouraged to attend Mass, and wear school uniforms to mass

  • Open House at SMS following 9:00am Mass until 1:00.

Monday, January 27- Celebrating Vocations

  •  Dress code: Colors of Our Call - Wear the color of your future vocation choice with jeans (school appropriate)

    • Priesthood: Black or White (symbolizing the traditional clerical colors and purity) 

    • Religious Life (Sisters and Brothers): Blue (representing Mary, devotion, and service).

    • Marriage and Family Life: Red (symbolizing love, commitment, and the Holy Spirit) 

    • Single Life: Green (for growth, hope, and service to others).

    • Missionary Life: Yellow or Gold (symbolizing spreading the light of Christ to the world).

    • Deacons: Purple (representing service and sacrifice).

Tuesday, January 28- Celebrating Our Families

  •  Our 8th Grade will attend the CSW Week Mass at the Cathedral

  • Students will participate in SMS B-I-N-G-O throughout the day!

  • Discussions of gratitude for our parents and family

  • Dress code: SMS Spirit wear with school appropriate jeans

Wednesday, January 29- Celebrating Our Students

  •   Students will go bowling at Town and Country Lanes via the SMS bus (Popcorn and soda or water included) - Please send $5 per child to help offset cost.

  • SMS Wristbands Distributed

  • Dress code: College team (jersey, hoodie, hat, jeans etc…NO HOLES)

Thursday, January 30- Celebrating Your Community

  •  Students will help at the community Soup Supper (how to help)

  • Presentation on the Importance of Community by Betty Campbell

  • SMS Family Feud 

  • Dress code: Dress as a public servant (firefighter, librarian, police, military, etc)

Friday, January 31- Celebrating Faculty, Staff and Volunteers

  • Dress code: Students should be in uniform as it is a Mass day

  • Students are encouraged to thank staff and volunteers
