Hello SMS Families,
Happy Catholic Schools Week! Please join us, along with Catholic Schools across the US as we celebrate our schools! We feel very blessed to have such a great group of families who have worked together to build our SMS community! To keep up with the activities happening this week, please click here.
Open House is tomorrow, Sunday, January 26 following 9:00am mass at St. Michael until approximately 1:00. This Open House is for anyone, but is primarily geared toward those who are interested in learning more about SMS, and families who will be new to SMS in the 25-26 school year.
Any parents who would like for their child to attend SMS in the future, should first fill out the SMS application, and turn it in to the office to go through the application process. When applications have been approved, parents will be notified, and will move forward to registration.
Tomorrow also begins early registration for all of our current students. Registration forms will be available at Open House, but are also available on our website, and will be sent home this week. Each family should turn in one registration form, with a $300 non-refundable registration fee, which can be waived if the family sells at least 30 SMS $10k tickets. It is important to register as soon as possible, as many of our grades have waiting lists.
As mentioned in an article earlier this week, the EdChoice application window opens up February 1st. The sooner we get applications and paperwork uploaded, the sooner they will be awarded. Please let me know if you have any questions.
There will be no chess club or tutoring after school on Wednesday this week due to a staff meeting.
Reminder that the Community Soup Supper is this Thursday. If you signed up to donate ingredients, thank you! Please drop those off at the school on Tuesday if possible. There are still a few items needed.
There are 2 weeks left in the grading period, report cards will be given to parents at parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, February 13. Conference sign ups will come out the week of February 3rd.
