Good afternoon,
This has been a wild beginning of the calendar year between the weather and illness, I am sure you are all like me, and looking forward to getting back into a routine. I hope the 4 day weekend allows everyone to re-set.
Congratulations to our 2nd graders who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation last Saturday!
Please remember there is no school tomorrow due to parent teacher conferences. We are also out Monday in observation of President's Day.
Parents will receive 2nd Trimester report cards at parent teacher conferences. If you did not come to conferences, your child's report card will be sent home on Tuesday after school.
Looking at next week, Spring Pictures are taking place Wednesday. All students may be out of uniform. Please make sure clothes are modest, and although not in uniform, appropriate for SMS. Next Friday is the annual Father/Daughter Dance. If you have not yet read about this event, click here.
We have received most of the 2025-26 Registrations for returning students, but we are still waiting on a few. Please get those in asap. We will begin reviewing and accepting applications for potential new SMS families on March 1.
EdChoice renewals and requests are slowly coming in. If you have not turned in your EdChoice paperwork, please do that asap as well, so we can get them into the system and approved for next year. Especially if a child is new to the system, it is important that we get the ball rolling on those, because it takes more time.
Congratulations once again to our students who scored a "superior" rating, and good luck as they prepare for the Brown County Science Fair on February 22. Science Fair Wrap-Up Link
We are above the break even point for the SMS $10K Giveaway! We have officially cleared $1400, on our way to $25,000. That means there are over 1250 tickets still out. Please be sure to make sure your tickets are sold and turned in no later than the final $10,000 drawing on April 11. The first $1,000 drawing is on March 7 at the first Fish Fry.
Finally, please remember, that we ask each of our families to work at least three shifts over the course of the six fish fries. To access sign up sheets and learn more about the fish fry, click here.
Have a great weekend!
