Last weekend several SMS 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders competed in the Regional Science Day at the University of Cincinnati. The competition was tough, but our scientists once again did an outstanding job. Receiving "Excellent" ratings were Ashleigh Boldman, Abby Collins, Griffin Ernst, Makynli Hauke, Elli Hedges, and Olivia Kirk.
Griffin Ernst won a $50 GE Special Award for Engineering, and Zoey Durham was a Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovator Challenge Nominee.
Zoey Durham, Josie Sentney, and Ella Seip all qualified to compete in the Ohio State Science Day!
Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard on their projects, you represented SMS, your families, and yourselves very well, and we are proud of you!
