Parents and Students- I hope you had a wonderful weekend celebrating Labor Day. We have awesome families working hard to send their children to SMS and we so appreciate your faith in what we do here at Saint Michael!
This week we work on reading booklets that focused on careers, community
helpers and of course the meaning of Labor Day! We also continued observing our seed development and the children were so excited to see how rapidly the plants are growing. We even had one student bring “cucamelons” grown in their family garden. YUM!
Students continued working on phonetically decoding words in their weekly story and reviewing sight words. Their first spelling test absolutely was a success! Way to go first grade!
We rounded out our week with Mass and Adoration on Friday and a special visit from the Kona
Ice truck!
