First, a quick reminder for Ripley bus riders, there will be NO RIPLEY BUS SERVICE this Thursday afternoon and all day Friday.
We have several events on the horizon at SMS. I know our students are excited about Halloween coming up, and we have traditionally had a day at school that students and staff could wear their costumes to school. On Wednesday, October 26, the students and staff will be allowed to wear costumes to school. Please make sure that costumes are Catholic School appropriate. Costumes should not keep any child from being able to perform normal activities at school.
The SMS Halloween Party sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, is scheduled for Friday, November 4 from 6:00-8:00pm. We are still in need of heaters for this outdoor event. Music will provided by Stephen Strunk. There will be pizza and other food, along with games and prizes. If you would like to help contact harry.pedigo@stmichaelripley.com or kacy.gilkerson@stmichaelripley.com.
We will be IN SCHOOL on All Saints Day, Tuesday November 1. There will be school mass on this Holy Day of Obligation beginning at 8:15 am.
Picture retakes are November 2. If you would like retakes just send back your pictures and write a note to let the teacher know that your child needs to be photographed. Students may be out of uniform that day. Please be sure clothing is Catholic School appropriate.
The annual Harvest Dinner is Sunday, November 6, beginning immediately after the 9:00am mass and continuing until 2:00pm. We sent a sign up sheet out last week. We need ALL SMS FAMILIES to provide baked goods, and bring your family and friends to eat with us that day! We also need help, particularly the day of the event. We have plenty of help on the prep shifts on Wednesday, but we still need a lot of help on Sunday. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated!
As always, be sure to check the "events" page on our website and app for all upcoming SMS events!
