First Grade News
What a fun week in first grade! A great Halloween party was enjoyed by all first grade students! Parents, thank you so much for making our class party a success!
We rounded out the week by having a visit from the Ripley Fire Department – thank you Mr. Hedges and Mr. Poole for the wonderful presentation. As part of our fire prevention study, the children enjoyed watching Mr. Hedges and Mr. Poole demonstrate the use of the equipment they use in protecting our community. This also wrapped up our unit on Government Services and Leaders.
On Friday students took their AR test and those scores were sent home. On Monday each child that successfully completed reading two AR books in October will receive a Book It certificate. Spelling test results were sent home and I am super proud of all the hard work students and parents put into learning these very challenging words!
