Today is Groundhog Day. Yesterday the kindergartners predicted whether or not they thought the groundhog would see his shadow. As you can see, more kindergartners thought he would not see his shadow, meaning we would have an early spring. But Punxsutawney Phil DID see his shadow, which brings six more weeks of winter. And the fourteen Ripley groundhogs (groundhog stick puppets) also saw their shadows when the kindergartners brought them out of their burrows (made from Styrofoam cups).
